Case value varies based upon many factors. Some of those factors include: length of disability, AWW, weekly compensation rate, annual cost of medical treatment, whether the case is in pay status or not.
Cases in pay status generally have a higher settlement value than cases not in pay status. Cases are often negotiated in terms of years of TTD (temporary total disability benefits).
Most cases settle between 2-4 years of TTD benefits. Often, unpaid medical bills are also paid up until the date of settlement above the lump sum amount. We recommend you reach maximum medical improvement before settling.
